SEGA has just announced the upcoming release of Sonic Rumble, a new game that will be similar to Fall Guys in its battle royale style. While the game will eventually be available for Android and iOS, a solid release date has not yet been shared by the Japanese developer.
Sonic Rumble is currently in development through a collaboration between SEGA and Rovio, the creator of Angry Birds which is now owned by SEGA. The game will include 'battleroyale challenges' for up to 32 players who will navigate through obstacle courses and collect rings.
Players will have the chance to control popular Sonic characters. While details about the release date remain vague, SEGA has revealed plans to conduct a limited playtest in the near future, exclusively in the United States.
