Chieftec recently unveiled the new Apex Q case, with the 'Q' indicating its emphasis on quiet operation thanks to the inclusion of sound-deadening panels. Priced at 100 euros, this case is now available for purchase.

While the Apex Q shares many similarities with the Apex Air, such as pre-installed fans and side panels, there are some key differences. The Apex Air was featured in the best 1440p gaming PC article in the Desktop Best Buy Guide released at the end of May. The Apex Air boasts a mesh front panel and glass side panel, whereas the Apex Q features solid panels with sound-dampening material on the sides and mesh at the top.

Unlike the Apex Air, the Apex Q comes with two built-in 140mm fans - one in the front and one at the back. Additionally, there is an extra 120mm fan located on top of the power supply compartment. Users have the flexibility to install up to nine 120mm or six 140mm fans in total. For water cooling enthusiasts, the case supports radiators at the front and top, with maximum sizes of 420mm and 360mm respectively.

Measuring 465x230x495mm and weighing 7.3kg, the Apex Q is compatible with ITX, micro-ATX, ATX, and e-ATX motherboards. The CPU cooler can be up to 175mm tall, while the maximum allowed lengths for video cards and power supplies are 400mm and 220mm. Two 2.5" drives can be mounted behind the motherboard tray, along with two 3.5" hard drives next to the power supply. The I/O panel includes a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, two USB 3.0 Type-A ports, and two 3.5mm audio jacks.
