Apple to Launch Vision Pro Internationally Post WWDC, Employees Trained in Multiple Countries

Apple is gearing up to introduce the Vision Pro internationally after WWDC in June, as per Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman. The company has been providing training to its international employees in countries like Germany, France, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and China, so they can showcase the mixed reality glasses to potential customers.

According to Gurman's report, Apple has flown 'hundreds' of employees to its headquarters in Cupertino, California, to learn about the functionality of the Vision Pro. It seems that the company is preparing for a release of the device in the aforementioned countries soon, although the exact timeline for each country's launch is still unclear.

Earlier this year, Apple had announced its intentions to launch the Vision Pro outside the U.S in 2024, with Tim Cook confirming the release in China as well. Despite the initial buzz around the headset's release in the U.S, Gurman notes that interest has waned, with a significant drop in demo appointments at physical stores. By expanding the launch to more countries, Apple hopes to reignite consumer interest, although the steep price tag of $3500 may pose a challenge for many potential buyers. Reports suggest that Apple is also working on a more affordable version of the glasses, but that is not expected to hit the market until 2026.
