Xbox CEO Phil Spencer said during an internal meeting that Xbox will continue to make consoles. That's what journalist Shannon Liao says. Spencer wants to publicly announce Xbox's 'future vision' this week; he may say that Xbox titles will also come to other consoles.

During the meeting Spencer reportedly said that there are "no plans" to stop making consoles and that Xbox consoles remain part of a "multi-device strategy." The meeting took place last Tuesday. Microsoft did not respond to Liao's questions. Shannon Liao is a games journalist who is head of gaming at Inverse and previously wrote for The Washington Post and The Verge among others.

According to recent rumors Microsoft plans to release games that were previously exclusive for Xbox consoles and PC to be released for other platforms. For example Sea of Thieves Starfield Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and Gears of War games would come to the PlayStation 5 or Nintendo Switch. In response to those rumors Phil Spencer said that there will be a 'business update' this week in which the future vision for Xbox will be shared. It is not yet known when that update will take place.
