Qualcomm and Meta have joined forces to enhance Llama 3 for Snapdragon mobile devices. This integration will enable Meta's cutting-edge language models to be seamlessly integrated into smartphones, PCs, VR headsets, and even vehicles, among other platforms. Qualcomm has stated that developers will be provided with tools through the company's AI platform to optimize Llama 3 for Snapdragon devices. The specific release date and compatible devices for Llama 3 have not yet been announced. However, AI features based on Llama 2 have already been supported on Snapdragon smartphones since earlier this year.

Meta unveiled its Llama 3 models last week and revealed that these models will power the new AI assistant from the tech giant, which will be integrated into popular apps like WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook.

While upcoming Android smartphones featuring Snapdragon processors will benefit from Meta's AI model, there have been rumors circulating that Apple is in talks with Google to incorporate Gemini into iOS 18.
