Google Meet Unveils Annotation Feature for Collaborative Note-Taking During Presentations

Google has introduced a new feature in Google Meet that allows users to take notes during presentations. This feature includes various tools such as pens, stickers, lines, shapes, text boxes, and sticky notes. The annotation feature is currently being rolled out to Workspace users.

When starting a Google Meet presentation, the annotation feature is automatically enabled. A new menu with settings and tools for annotations will appear at the bottom right of the screen. Users can also add other users as annotators, allowing for collaborative note-taking during presentations.

Currently, iPhone users are unable to annotate in Meet unless they are designated as co-annotators. However, the feature is available for Android users, although co-annotation is not yet supported. Google began rolling out this feature last week, but it may take several weeks for all Workspace users to have access to it.
