Prince William will be present at the upcoming BAFTA Awards ceremony on February 18 at the Royal Festival Hall in London. The Duke of Cambridge will attend the event solo, as his wife, Kate Middleton, is still recovering from a recent abdominal surgery.

As reported by Variety, Prince William, who has been the president of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts since 2010, will grace the prestigious awards ceremony that recognizes excellence in film and television.

Last year, Prince William and Kate Middleton attended the ceremony together, marking their return after a two-year absence.

Buckingham Palace recently announced that King Charles, 75, has been diagnosed with cancer. Meanwhile, Kate Middleton underwent planned abdominal surgery, requiring a 13-day hospital stay.

At the previous year's ceremony, the royal couple witnessed a special tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II, led by Dame Helen Mirren. The emotional tribute honored the Queen's contributions to the film and television industry, leaving Prince William and Kate Middleton visibly moved by the heartfelt words.

This year's BAFTA Awards ceremony will be hosted by actor David Tennant, with Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer leading the nominations with 13 nods. Yorgos Lanthimos' Poor Things follows closely behind with 11 nominations. Singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor is scheduled to perform her hit song "Murder on the Dance Floor" at the event, adding to the star-studded lineup.
