Londoners are accustomed to rain, providing Burberry with inspiration for a variety of luxurious outerwear pieces. From the iconic trench coat to oversized duffels and fur-lined bombers, the British fashion house showcased its latest designs at London Fashion Week. The show featured a soulful Amy Winehouse soundtrack, with a woman’s voice expressing affection for the rainy London scent.

Star Barry Keoghan from Saltburn and actress Olivia Coleman from The Crown were among the celebrities seated in the VIP front row. The show heavily emphasized Burberry's military history and signature check print, with models sporting double-breasted coats and mannish, oversized coats in military greens and browns.

In homage to Burberry's history of creating rainwear, some models walked the catwalk with collapsible umbrellas in the brand's trademark check print. The founder, Thomas Burberry, invented the breathable fabric gabardine in the late 1800s, revolutionizing rainwear fashion.

While functionality remains key, the show also incorporated flashes of cherry red tartan and luxurious fur accessories to brighten up the earthy palette. Supermodel Naomi Campbell closed the show in a stunning bronze strapless column gown.

Burberry's show is a highlight of London Fashion Week, alongside presentations by designers like Erdem, JW Anderson, Roksanda Ilincic, and Molly Goddard. The London displays come to a close before the fashion crowd heads to Milan Fashion Week for more runway shows.
