Base is set to introduce a new fixed internet and TV subscription offer across Belgium starting on June 3, through its parent company Telenet. Customers have the option to sign up for both internet and TV together or separately. Previously, Base was focused solely on the mobile market.

According to Base's announcement, there are two fixed internet subscription plans available. The lower-priced plan costs 27 euros per month and includes a 300GB usage limit, with download speeds of up to 50Mbit/s and upload speeds of 5Mbit/s. Users can purchase an additional 25GB for 5 euros once they reach the limit. The second plan offers unlimited data at 40 euros per month, with download speeds of 200Mbit/s and upload speeds of 20Mbit/s.

For TV services, there are two options as well. The basic TV subscription is priced at 10 euros per month and includes access to the app only. Users can opt for a decoder at an additional 15 euros per month. Both plans provide access to 28 channels and allow for recording and pausing of programs. Mobile subscriptions with Base will remain unchanged.

Prior to this, Telenet provided internet and TV services in Flanders and Brussels. With Base's new expansion, these services will now be available in Wallonia as well. In Flanders, two-thirds of Brussels municipalities and a portion of Wallonia will utilize the WYRE network, a collaboration between Telenet and Fluvius. Meanwhile, the VOO/Orange Belgium network will be used in the remaining Brussels municipalities and the majority of Wallonia.

Base's subscription offerings present a more budget-friendly option compared to Telenet's own services. Furthermore, Base will face competition from Digi, a new budget provider entering the market later this year.
